I (Jamie) woke early went to the mechanics who again spoke no english got the car on a lift and the problem was obvious. Some part of the dog had ripped the pipe of the petrol filter with the connecter still in the pipe.
There was a slight issue removing it as the screw holding it on had corroded but a man with half a hand managed to finally get it off. A replacement from a Lada fitted it and we were quickly on the way again obviously now having missed the convoy we were emailing a few guides to see if we could either join a group or get a private one.
We heard from geoff and Chloe that they'd also failed to get to the border in time so we decided to go and meet up with them to see if we could create a tour sharing the price.
On the way we stopped at the place where wed had the breakdown to thank them, we got invited in and ended up drinking coffee with the gentleman that helped us.
We met up with team taking car of business later on after more stunning scenery reunited with them in a hotel with a woman who was lovely and even did some washing. They said they been in contact with another team; Rainbow Dash and there might be the potential to join there tour, if not we would then have to drive all the way to Azerbaijan. That night we reflected on the past day with some beer and an incredible lightening storm.
