Armenia had quickly become our worst best country so far so were happy and sad to be leaving.
We entered the Armenia border and had been told to wait for the guide there who was called "batman" (not joking) and after meeting up with team Rainbow dash and came across team backdoor bandits, had a spot of breakfast at a strange bakery/pizza shop in the border.
An hour and a half later we made contact with the fixer who had said we needed to meet him on the Iran side of the border so quickly proceeded through the Armenia side.
We got everyone through, our guide Mohamed made sure to get stamps in passports as he said last year his Mongol Rally tour had issues with it. We then waited two hours to get our Carnet de Passage and then were off Into IRAN!!!!!
First things first Iran is beautiful and has some truly amazing views!! We went to a church with our guide and then into a small town for something to eat which was hands down the best Kebab ive ever had From there we drove to our first overnight stop in Tibriz
If you want an experience like no other, Drive in any city in Iran, there are no rules the traffic is properly crazy, people park cars and walk where they want its hot and the guide was not he best at telling team rainbow dash directions in advance which when theres a convoy of four cars that you have to stay together in makes for the most thrilling driving ever!! The driver of all four cars including myself got out and had a grin from ear to ear, cries of "that was brilliant", "bit different than driving in England" "can we do that again" echoed around the car park
In short we made it to the hotel with no accidents no one lost and all went to bed.
